These are likely onomatopoeic, but can also be compared to Dutch pink (“pinkie, little finger”), Low German Pink (“penis”). A further connection is made with Low German pümpeln (“to thrust, bump”), to which belong German pimpern (“to fuck”), southern Pimperl (“penis”). Finally Dutch piel (“penis”), cognate of Pfeil (“arrow”), and German bummeln, baumeln (“to dangle”), pimmeln (“to hang out idly”).
