Where this word comes from

Internationalism, based on Kazakh Қазақстан (Qazaqstan, “Kazakhstan”). The Kazakh name was coined from қазақ (qazaq, “Kazakh”) + -стан (-stan, “land, country”), literally “land of the Kazakhs”. The suffix -стан (-stan, “land, country”) is ultimately from Persian ـستان (-stân, “place, land”). The ethnonym қазақ (qazaq, “Kazakh”) was originally used as a social designation and later became the name of an ethnic group. Its deeper etymology remains disputed. Parallel international adaptations include Norwegian Nynorsk Kasakhstan, Danish Kasakhstan, Swedish Kazakstan, German Kasachstan, Dutch Kazachstan and Polish Kazachstan (“Kazakhstan”).
