Where this word comes from

From Old Turkic [script needed] (amran-, “to love, desire”). Also related to Old Turkic [script needed] (amrıl-, “to be quiet”), [script needed] (amul, “gentle, quiet”), derived from Proto-Turkic *ăm-. The verb Turkish imrenmek (“to love, desire/to feel a longing”) has been based on a same origin. Turkic Khagan Amrak is the oldest known bearer of this name. Yunus Emre, Tapduk Emre and similar Old Turkish bards/folk poets have used the "Emre" as nickname or title. Altaicists compare to Mongolian амар (amar, “rest, bliss”).
